Plus, it was totally fun for all ages and really easy to make. We just used a few items from around the house to put our pie together, but the spices, the shaving cream and the tin foil “pie plate” really took the craft up a notch and provided a lovely sensory experience.

Pumpkin Pie Craft with Puffy Whipped Cream
- Paint Paper Plate
Paint the ridged rim of the paper plate light brown.
Mix a pinch of pumpkin spice (either premixed or a mix of ground cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves) into a puddle of pumpkin-coloured paint and paint the inner part of the paper plate. - Cut Pie
Cut a wavy edge all around the edge of the paper plate and then cut your paper plate pie into 6 even slices.
- Puffy Paint Whipped Cream
Stir together an equal amount of white glue and saving cream (approx 2-3 tbs of each for one pie).
With a wide paint brush, scoop a dollop onto each slice of pie. - Make Foil Pie Plate
Cover your second paper plate with a large piece of tin foil, pinching/crimping around the edges to keep it in place.
- Put Pie Slices in Pie Plate
Arrange your pie slices in the foil place, and if desired, glue them in place.
I hope your kids have as much fun with this awesome pumpkin pie craft as we did!
