Happy Hooligans strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. I am currently investing time and resources into making my site more user-friendly and accessible for all. This is an ongoing task and I will make every reasonable effort to make my content fully accessible.
Please understand that mine is not a big business with a team of employees. I run this site myself, and I’m simply a home daycare provider hoping to inspire other parents and care providers with our crafts, activities and recipes. I will do my best to work on my website’s accessibility but I would like to ask for your patience with this.

Happy Hooligans continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is my moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use for those with disabilities.
Despite my efforts to make Happy Hooligans fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having identified every issue or not having found the best technological solution.
Areas for improvement and time-lines
I’m hopeful that Happy Hooligans will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by December 2020. I am aware of some areas on the website that require improvement and I’m currently focusing on these:
Images: I am updating the alt-text of the photos in my posts. If you have problems reading the photos please send me a message at jackie@happyhooligans.ca.
Videos: I aim to update the captions for my videos by December 2020.
Link Text: I will also update my link text to be more accessible, and hope to have this completed by December 2020.
Audit: I have been in touch with an accessibility auditor and hope to schedule an accessibility audit for Happy Hooligans to determine additional areas of concern.
