Styrofoam mosaic art: a vibrant and easy art activity for kids!

Making styrofoam mosaic art is easy, inexpensive and a whole lot of fun!  It’s an open ended, colourful art process that uses one of my favourite thrifty craft materials: a styrofoam produce tray.styrofoam mosaic art for kids by happy hooligans

Yes! They’re so handy, Erin! And bonus – unlike so much of the other “trash” that I save, they all stack together, and don’t take up a ton of space in the craft room.

great idea! have you ever tried getting the hooligans to ‘draw’ a picture into the styrofoam and then using it to print the image onto paper? That’s a favourite of mine and super-fun!

I’ve done it myself, Jennifer, but I haven’t had the hooligans do that yet. It’s a great idea though. I’d love to try it with them.
