Tape Resist is a fun and easy way for kids to make name art. You just make a design on your canvas with tape, paint the white space around it and then pull up your tape to reveal your colourful creation!
Kids love making name art. After all, their name is the most important thing in the world to them. So when they can make a piece of customized name art to hang in their room, they’re usually pretty happy.
We’re making our colourful tape resist name art using one of our favourite art techniques today. It’s so simple but it packs a huge “wow” factor.
Because it’s so easy, tape resist is a great art project to do with toddlers and preschoolers but I promise you, older kids will love the process too. Its simplicity makes it ideal to do with an art class or as a party activity too. You can set it up for one or for a group really quickly because it requires so few supplies.
And the results are stunning every single time.
