Leaf Slide

Looking for a fun outdoor Fall Activity?  Make a leaf slide…

If you’re looking for a unique and fun way to enjoy your fall leaves this year, have a look at the leaf slide we made the other day!

This is such a fun thing to do on a fall day when you have a lot of leaves on the ground.  It got the hooligans moving around and keeping warm on a cool day, and building the slide AND playing on provided lots of exercise, fresh air and gross motor activity.

Aside from a couple of chilly days, for the most part, our November has been warm and sunny.   Almost Spring-like some days.  It’s been wonderful, and we really made the most of our fall leaves this year.  First we made a leaf maze, and then we made our roadways in the leaves, which was a huge hit!  The Hooligans played it those for a week.

When we had thoroughly exhausted our roadways, we raked them all up and made this leaf slide. The Hooligans helped me to rake the leaves into a pile at the bottom of the slide,  and of course, that was lots of fun.

Then the girls had the idea to put the leaves on the slide.

Even the baby thought it looked like a lot of fun.

It was our final hoorah, and our leaf slide allowed us to enjoy our leaves one last time.
