I don’t know about you, but these grey and dreary winter days are taking their toll on me. We’ve been looking at grey skies and a drab landscape for weeks. I need SUN! I need COLOUR!
Thankfully, I have a craft room stocked with lots of colour-making good stuff, and hooligans who are more than happy to oblige when I suggest that we spend a morning making colourful crafts!
Just look what we created recently!
These gorgeous, vibrant Valentine’s sun catchers brighten up our window like you wouldn’t believe. Even when it’s dull and grey outside, these colourful hearts just burst with colour.
This art technique is one of the kids’ favourites here in my home daycare, The toddlers and preschoolers love the process, but the older kids really loved making this craft too.
It’s a super-simple craft for Valentines Day. You can turn it into a Valentines card, but you can use this simple art process to make colourful window art all year round.
Pop over to CBC Parents to see the easy step-by-step, and make some colourful tie-dyed sun catchers for your home or classroom!
