Woohoo! It’s almost July, and you know what that means!
CANADA DAY (and Canada Day crafts!)
Here in Canada, July 1st marks our country’s birthday, so we get to kick off summer vacation with a day filled with parades, backyard barbecues and fireworks!
In anticipation of the upcoming holiday, the hooligans and I have been making some patriotic crafts to proudly wave this weekend, when Canada turns 149 years old!
My favourite, so far, is our patriotic Canada Day Ribbon Twirlers.
Quick, easy and inexpensive, these ribbon twirlers will have your kids dancing and twirling the day away.
They’re perfect to wave at a parade or to dance and play with at a Canada Day BBQ or picnic!
See how we made our ribbon twirlers over at CBC Parents!
And if you live elsewhere in the world, you can absolutely use our twirlers as inspiration for your country’s holiday festivities! Just use ribbons that match the colours in your national flag!
