If you’re looking for an adorable homemade Halloween treat, make a batch of Oreo Mummy Pops! They’re perfect Halloween treats for the classroom or a Halloween party, or you can hand them out to your favourite trick-or-treaters on Halloween night!
Oreo mummy pops are really and truly very easy to make, so don’t think, for a minute, that you can’t make these!
I first ran across Oreo Pops at How Does She?, There’s a beautiful step-by-step tutorials for both the Oreo Mummy Pops, and her any-occasion Oreo Cookie Suckers over there. Check them out! Her photos are gorgeous, and you can get the full step-by-step instructions there.
The basic idea is that you embed a sucker stick in an oreo cookie, dip it in candy melts, and then add your detailing – the zig zag strips and the eyes. You don’t need any fancy equipment – a double boiler, a ziplock bag and a baking sheet covered with waxed paper will have you covered.
Once your candy melts have set, just wrap them in a bit of plastic wrap or pop them in a clear treat bag and tie off with a festive ribbon!
Wouldn’t these be the perfect treat to send to school for your little one’s Hallowe’en Party?
