Kids of all ages will have fun decorating these chalk marker bookmarks. They’re great to give for Father’s Day or to make and trade with friends!

My daycare hooligans love crafting with popsicle sticks and they also love to create art. They especially love to experiment with different art materials and drawing instruments, so I always have a variety of art supplies on hand that they can grab and create with when the mood strikes.
See all of our popsicle stick crafts here.
They love to colour and create with Sharpies, scented markers, paint pens and oil pastels, and recently, we’ve found a new favourite. Chalk markers!
They’ve really been a hit with the kids because you can decorate almost anything with them – paper, glass, plastic, and even stone. Check out our chalk rock paper weights! They turned out beautifully.
The other day, we were looking for something new to try our chalk markers on, and we wondered if they would work on wood. We got out the jumbo craft sticks and gave them a try.
They worked so well that the kids hunkered down for about an hour decorating dozens of craft sticks to use as bookmarks.
Pop on over to CBC Parents to see the fun we had making them.
Your kids can make a bunch too, and give them to Dad for Father’s Day or make them and trade them with friends.
