The hooligans and I LOVE making ornaments for the yard and garden! Whirligigs, wind chimes and sun catchers are all wonderful ways to decorate our porch, patio and yard or to give as gifts.
We like to use common, inexpensive materials for our outdoor ornaments, using things we already have on hand, or natural items we’ve collected in our yard or neighbourhood.
Recently, I rounded up 21 of my favourite homemade outdoor ornaments for my friends over at Kids Activities Blog. Some come from the pages of my own blog, and others I found among the pages of my kid-blogging colleagues. All of these ornaments are relatively easy to make, and they’re sure to add bit of whimsy and charm to a deck or patio or a little corner of your yard.
Pop over to Kids Activities Blog to see the collection of all 21 ornaments and to find out how to make them.

This is a super fun list! We will definitely be making some of theses and showing them off in the yard!
