Homemade Honey Oatmeal Bread (Bread Machine Recipe)

Soft, fluffy and delicious, this homemade bread is perfect for dunking in soup, making sandwiches, or to serve as a side with dinner.

  • 7-9 oz water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 & 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup quick cook oats
  • 2 & 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 & 3/4 tsp active dry yeast


  • Add liquids to bread machine pan 
  • Add dry ingredients except yeast
  • Add yeast, making sure to keep separate from the salt
  • Select the 1.5 lb loaf setting (basic settings) on your bread machine, and press start.
  • Remove bread from pan when done, and cool slightly on a cooling rack before slicing.
