Ingredients

  • 3/4 pounds of fresh green beans washed and patted dry
  • six strips of bacon cut in half
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Blanch strips of bacon and pat dry.
  • Wrap four green beans in one of the bacon halves. Repeat for each green bean bundle.
  • Place green bean bundles seam side down onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Do not let strips of bacon touch other strips of bacon.
  • Drizzle wrapped green beans with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over wrapped green beans.
  • Bake until green beans are crispy and bacon is cooked. (Approximately 15 minutes.)
  • Serve hot or warm.
