Homemade Lemonade

This old-fashioned lemonade is easy to make with just 3 simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 5 lemons
  • 5 more cups water

Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

To Make Simple Syrup

  • Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small pot and stir over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  • Allow to cool while you're squeezing your lemons.

To Make Lemonade

  • Squeeze lemons with a lemon juicer or a fork (see post for the how-to).
  • Strain lemon juice into a jug.
  • Add 5 cups of water.
  • Add simple syrup to taste.
  • Chill and serve over ice.
