I’d love to use this material and think my students would really enjoy it, but I have little ones who still put everything in their mouth. Is the combo non-toxic if small quantities are ingested, do you know?

I would substitute the baby oil with something like canola or vegetable oil, Jessica. It won’t have a scent, but it will feel the same. Any cooking oil will do.

I just discovered your blog (through Teaching 2 and 3 Year Old’s blog), and I think it’s wonderful!! Your hooligans are some lucky kiddos! In less than a week I join the ranks of being a preschool teacher (to 3-year-olds) and I hope I have as much fun and are as creative as you. Your blog will certainly be an ongoing resource for me throughout the year. Thank you!

Welcome, Tracy! I’m so glad you found us. Teaching 2 and 3 Year Olds is a blog that I love too! Congratulations on becoming a Teacher of 3’s!! I’m so excited for you! I hope you have a fantastic time. It’s such a fun and amazing age to teach. Everything is an adventure or a discovery for them at that age! Have a wonderful year, and yes, definitely check back in frequently with us. I’ll be back to posting regularly when the hooligans return next week. And I have mostly 2s and 3s this year, so we’ll be doing lots of crafts and activities that will be perfect for your group.

I’m having difficulties reading the instructions for this section. All I can see are some other suggestions and then other readers’ comments. Am I missing a link to the actual article? Thanks!

    • happyhooligans says

I’m having some issues with how my posts are loading for some readers, Elizabeth, in some cases all the reader is seeing is the post title and the comments to the post. I’d like to establish whether or not that’s the case with this post for you. Do you see any text/writing at all below the post title? Can you see the two photos? If you can, there’s a link to CBC Parents in the post. That will take you to the instructions. If you can’t see anything other than post title and comments, can you please drop me another line (in an email or a blog comment), and let me know? Thanks so much for your help.

Hi there – I a, new to your blog and love your ideas! However when I click through to read more of the post or get ‘recipes’ it just jumps straight to the comments others have left. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I can’t see anything other than the title, either. Want to see your recipes – everything looks so cool!

    • happyhooligans says

Thanks, Lauren. My blog is having some troubles today. I should have it fixed later today. Check back in please!!

getting some ‘teasers’ of ideas (!), because I, too, am only seeing the titles and then the comments.

    • happyhooligans says

Aw, thanks, Laurie. I’m glad you like what you’re seeing in the teasers. Hang in there please. I’m hoping to have the blog restored to normal in the next day or so. It’s been frustrating and challenging because I really don’t know what’s gone wrong. I’m so sorry you can’t see all of the details in my posts.
