Carrying on with our focus on art this month, late last week the hooligans each made a piece of art with a white crayon. This was a simple little project that requires only a white crayon and a dark piece of paper.
I gave everyone a small piece of black card-stock – some rectangles and some squares and they drew or wrote whatever they wanted on their paper.
A couple of the hooligans asked for paint when they finished their drawing, so I set out the tempera paints. I think the splash of colour against the black and white art is quite striking.
And because we’re on a mission to get some hooligan-made art up on our walls, I double matted each drawing, by first gluing it to a piece of white card-stock, and then to a piece of coloured card-stock.
I think they look like a million bucks! More art for our playroom walls!

There you are again, making neat things! Cute!
Thanks, Marie. I love how simple these were, and yet they still looked so nice when they were matted.
Ur ideas fab lov them. Xx
Beautiful! I can’t decide which version (b/w or colour) I like best! The matting and framing really makes them stand out, too.
Full of inspiration again! Many many regards from Greece. You give me so many ideas and help me spend time with my two boys in a creative way – having so much fun! Thank you
You’re welcome, Stella! Glad you’re enjoying our activities.
